Philosophy
Our philosophy is the belief that people with developmental disabilities can benefit from programs specifically designed to meet their persisting life problems. By recognizing this need, we are now able to expand our horizons for the sake of these fine citizens, establish goals, and set a realistic timetable to meet the varied and multiple needs of this "overlooked" population. Our minimum age requirement is 14 years of age.
Involvement
We, concerned professionals, parents, and supporters of the community, began to recognize a true need to expand our horizons for the sake of our fine citizens. It is our goal to meet the varied and multiple needs of this population.
Our involvement includes, but is not limited to, direct financial support to the Tamarac Bulldogs, an Agency of Special Olympics Broward County, Inc. Our athletes are involved in basketball, volleyball, softball, bowling, swimming, and golf throughout the year.
It is our intention to create an environment, which will enable our special population the ability to fulfill their dreams and live up to their own individual potential. Our support services include: dances, arts and crafts, movies, travel opportunities, vocational training, social skills training, behavioral management, relationship groups, and much more. It is also our intention to be able to provide our members with benefits our government cannot provide for our "special population."
Another important goal is to be able to provide residential & respite placements in the least restrictive environment.
Fundraising
We have been successful thus far in our fundraising efforts. Various businesses in our community support our efforts for this very worthy cause. Our only source of income to meet the needs of our very worthy individuals is from generous contributions which we receive from you.
98% of all monies raised through fundraising activities go directly to the needs of our special population. 2% of the money is spent on administrative costs. Absolutely no money goes to our staff, as our board of directors and our very "Special" coaches are all volunteers.

- Albertson's Community Partner Program
