The Bulldogs, A Special Needs Organization, Inc. was created in 1999 by a group of dedicated parents who wanted more than athletics for our special group of individuals. Several years ago in Coconut Creek, Florida, a small band of parents and athletes became involved in playing basketball in Special Olympics. That small group grew into a larger group — The Tamarac Bulldogs. We became a year-round athletic program with the help and support of the City of Tamarac. Our desire to give these special individuals the chance to become very productive citizens was our "motivation" to create this 501 (c) (3) charitable corporation, which gives us the ability to go beyond athletics.
